Come and enjoy the excitement of a high country Merino sheep station. Experience
living in the original shearers cottage and see the falcons and red deer come out to
play. Swim in the river, or walk the hills of this other world.

1hrs drive from Blenheim, turning off at Renwick. The last 8km are a gravel road.

Located on a high country merino sheep station of 2000ha
Mountain and river views with complete peace and privacy
Trek the hills or do a 4x4 bike ride to the tops. Over 20km of walking tracks, including up to Mt Stronvar at 1350m
Resident Falcons live nearby in the rock bluffs
Red deer are plentiful and can often be seen or heard from the cottage. As can other wild life on the walking tracks.
The Waihopai river is great for swimming, with crystal clear waters. Also great picnic spots
Guided hunting trips can be organised,
Bring you own horse for guided treks as well, or mountain bikes.
Resident possum likes to watch over at night time.
Winter time, the surrounding mountains and hills can snow capped for gorgeous views.

Lovingly restored, but with old the graffiti of the early drovers, shearers and musketeers
Beautifully crafted house with manuka, beech, macrocarpa, and matai being used.
The interior history has been kept, with swallow nests and an old bees nest has left unusual patterns on the roof.
Surrounded by history and artifacts, that has been used in all sorts of places.
Outdoor hot shower and a bath tub make the experience even that more exciting.
Gas BBQ cooking and fridge. Freezer space and laundry available on request
Continental breakfasts and 2 course meals are also available by prior arrangement. Also picnic lunches.
Linen is supplied, with fine Egyptian cotton sheets.
