Thank you for all your help in arranging our last minute
booking for Te Ranui this week. We had an absolutely
fantastic time, the place is very special indeed.
Everything was perfect, the house, location and the
weather (both misty and sunny). Rory even had a close
encounter with a penguin one night when he went
outside to get more firewood, and there one was
waddling away alarmed by the sudden presence of this
large man thing. We did pop down to the beach to
search the colony out but they made such a rucus we
thought it best to leave them in peace. We had a very
special encounter on our last day.
We rowed out into the Sound to watch a couple of seals playing and eating mussels off the rocks close by the house and as we were
sitting there watching these wonderful and inquisitive characters
,a large pod of dolphins came right past our boat! There was at least
30 of them, as well as a number of seals, all jumping and frolicking about. We guessed that they were herding a school of fish up the
Sound (given the presence of the gulls overhead). They were so close we could have touched them but decided it was best to leave
them to their business. This was a truly remarkable and special experience that happens rarely in one's life and it really topped off a
very wonderful holiday for us.The Sounds are one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. We will certainly be back and will
be telling all of our friends about this magical place.

Thank you Kathie and Kulak Rent a House for a wonderful week at Te Ranui Bay. A beautiful, well appointed house in an amazing
location with resident Weka, dolphins in the Tory Channel and scallop diving of the jetty, it was the perfect week! Will definitely be
back.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Te Ranui. It was a fabulous site for our family get-together. We appreciated the kitchen facilities
and the comfortable living space. The weather wasn't hot enough to tempt me in swimming but some of the younger members
climbed into their wet suits and went snorkeling a few times.
Many thanks for facilitating our accommodation.  We would certainly recommend your agency to others and would use your services
again if our family remain in Wellington
