10 minutes car trip out of Picton
Car access is prefered as the jetty isn't suitable for boats due to the constant ferry wash
Own jetty, mooring and beach, wee walk down from house
Beach gets the ferry wash and so care must be taken, not much of a beach at high tide
There are neighbours up behind as you drive in
House sits infront on the hillside with sea below
Stunning views of the Queen Charlotte Sound, can see all ships coming into the Sounds
Surrounded by native bush
Grounds are of historical nature with a few nic nacs, maori carvings and artefacts
Fishing from jetty
Water supply is rain water, so water should be used considerately and some times, rationally

No washing machine, only a small basin for washing in back wash house

Karaka Point was the site of the last
fortified Maori pa in the Marlborough
Sounds. The local chief was Te
Karaka. Eventually it was overrun
by North Island maori, who had
firearms, sometime in the
1800's. Some evidence still remains.
