Kulak Kayak, canoe, dinghy and outboard hire
Kulak offers basic kayak and canoes for hire as well as dinghy and small outboard hire. All come with life jackets. This is restricted to
the Queen Charlotte Sounds only and via boat access only properites. This is a first in first serve basis and consideration will be given
first to each booking for safety reasons.

The Marlborough Sounds have numerous attractions and activities available and
depending on the location you chose to rent in, some are more available than others
Adventure:
The Marlborough Sounds have a lot to offer in the way of adventure.
From tramping and camping out, to mountain biking and kayaking
trips, fishing and scuba diving, water sports and sailing.

Make your way by boat, or in some cases by car, arrange for a
water taxi service or go with an experienced adventure company.
Dive Marlborough
Picton's only dedicated PADI dive facility. Based out of Waikawa Bay, they operate regular diving trips to the
outer Marlborough Sounds, consisting of 2 guided dives and lunch.

Wild life and Eco tours:
The Marlborough Sounds are a nature reserve full of wildlife, both native
and introduced. You may find Dolphins and the occasional Orca. Native
birds such as the Black Robin and Kiwi can be found on island reserves,
and Tui, Weka and Wood Pigeons at you back doorstep if you're lucky.
Wild boar and deer roam the native bush and the sea is a treasure trove of
many species of marine life.

Motorua Island
This beautiful little island is a DOC reserve and home to some of New Zealands endangered species including
the Saddleback, South Island Robin, Brown Kiwi and Green Gheko, as well as Wood Pigeons, Blue Penguins,
Bellbirds and many others. Dolphin Watch (listed above) also provides eco tours of the island.

experiences, or in the townships some delightful little cafes and bars. Book the night away
at a restaurant, drop in for a snack at a local cafe or to buy some much needed supplies.
