Please note that due to weather and slips in 2022, the road is officially closed, though access is granted for those accessing houses/accommodation. We recommend a 4wd vehicle with good clearance only- as the road is rutted and extreme care is needed. Else there is boat/water taxi access from Havelock

Boat launching facilities are in Havelock or Portage Hotel, a 10 minute drive.
Lovely beach to swim and explore, access can be steep in parts and is a 5 minute walk down.
Picnic table and chairs by the beach for those wanting to take a picnic

When booking with Kulak, please bare in mind that our properties are rented out on behalf of the owners.
This means that most properties will show available on their calendars- but they need approval from the owners first. Generally you have to enquire to book- even if the calendar says its available.
Properties that show they are unavailable are either booked for those dates, or the owners have restricted the rental during that time frame- for numerous reasons. These dates can sometimes open up at a later point.
We run Kulak on a very simple basis, with the owners coming first, as its their property that they wish to share with you.
